Professor Angela Bellia is pleased to participate in the international workshop “Inscribed Musical Instruments in the Ancient World (IMIAW),” scheduled for Friday, 10 July 2026. This significant initiative aims to explore the intersection of epigraphy, materiality, and soundscapes in antiquity.
During the workshop, Professor Bellia will present her research paper titled: “The Inscribed Aulos Fragment from Locri as a Sacred Object.” Her contribution will examine the ritual and cultural dimensions of this unique artefact, shedding light on the function of inscribed instruments within the sacred sphere of the ancient Mediterranean.
