Professor Angela Bellia is pleased to announce her participation in Breath of Light, an immersive performance project under the artistic direction of Apostolia Papadamaki. Scheduled to take place on 28–29 July 2026, under the full moon, this site-specific experience will be hosted at the Sanctuary of Apollo in Ancient Corinth.
The performance represents a multidisciplinary synthesis of music—composed by Tryfon Koutsourelis—original texts by Panos Gkiokas, and costumes by Greek Archaic Kori. By integrating choreography, sacred texts, landscape, and cultural memory, the project aims to explore the deep connections between ritual performance and the ancient environment.
Professor Bellia expresses her sincere gratitude to Erica Angliker for the invitation to contribute to this extraordinary project. Her participation, supported by the scientific guidance of Panagiota Kasimi (Director of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Corinth), represents a significant opportunity to advance the dialogue between archaeology, sound studies, and ritual practice. This collaboration aligns closely with the core objectives of the VOICING project, furthering the investigation into the performative and sonic dimensions of ancient sacred spaces.
