On Tuesday, 17 March, Professor Angela Bellia will participate in the “Acustica a 360°” workshop at the CNR in Rome. This interdisciplinary event offers a valuable platform for dialogue among scholars working in diverse acoustic fields, ranging from marine monitoring and bioacoustics to the preservation of cultural heritage.
During her presentation, Professor Bellia will outline the core research objectives of the VOICING project (“Voicing Spaces: Towards an Aural Architecture in the Past”). She will specifically focus on how archaeoacoustics and the study of the voice serve as essential tools to investigate the architectural design and intentionality of major ancient theatres.
The workshop, coordinated by Elena Ascari and Chiara Scrosati, aims to bridge disciplinary boundaries by fostering cross-sectoral exchange. Professor Bellia expresses her gratitude to the organisers for this significant opportunity to integrate different perspectives in the study of acoustic environments.
