Andrea Maria Rapisarda Mattarella is a professional journalist, registered with the Italian National Order of Journalists since 2021, and has worked across different media: he has anchored regional television news programmes and hosted other broadcasts, has been a radio presenter and co-host, and writes for online newspapers.
He holds a Master's degree in Public, Corporate and Advertising Communication and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophical and Historical Studies, both from the University of Palermo.
Alongside his professional practice, he conducts research in sociology of media and journalism, among his publications are Il giornalismo italiano davanti all'IA. Verso una nuova centralità della funzione interpretativa (2026), From scandal to news: How a hybrid media system refunctionalizes the press. The Boccia-Sangiuliano case (2025) and Il femminicidio in rete: social media e copertura informativa del caso Cecchettin. Nuove sfide per la media education (2024), devoted to artificial intelligence in newsrooms, the platformisation of news and the media framing of gender-based violence.
Within the VOICING project, he is responsible for press office and media relations.
