Iony Moschovakou is an actress, singer, and director. She studied Acting and Directing in the Department of Theatre Arts at Deree College, and is completing her studies in Monody, as a mezzo-soprano. As an actress, her notable credits include Aeschylus’s "The Suppliants", directed by Marianna Kalbari at the Athens-Epidaurus Festival, "Creata," a visual performance directed by Fanis Sakellariou, and she is the creator of the performances: "The Sacrifice" and "Decayed”.
She has also created "Hamadryad" along with AP Studio. As a director, one of her most significant works was her music-ritual performance “IX:VI,” based on the Book of Revelation. As a singer, her vocal expertise spans opera, traditional folk, and ancient Greek music. She is a vocalist for the folk metal band Aherusia, and a percussionist/vocalist for the ancient Greek music ensemble Thiaseia, with whom she performed at the National Archaeological Museum of Tarquinia, Italy at Euterpe School.
She has studied Classic Attic prosody and pronunciation under Ilias Patrinos. She is also an active member of the Chóres choir, performing at the Greek National Opera, and collaborated with composers such as C. Goyos and N. Galenianos. In the “VOICING” Project, she will be contributing as a Singer/Actress.
